Release Date: February 15th 2016

Publisher: Entangled Publishing

Description:
Allison Hall is fed up with being a social outcast. Even at the tech company where she works for her brother and his best friend, Jared, she's the invisible nerdy girl. What she needs is confidence—and that requires a makeover and dating tips. And she knows just the man to help…

Jared Esterly is shocked when Allison asks for his assistance and turns her down, knowing that her brother—his business partner and best friend, Nick—would kill him if he dated her, even if it is just for practice. But when Al’s attempt to make changes on her own fails spectacularly, Jared reluctantly steps in. Things heat up quickly, and soon lessons move from the salon to the bedroom.

When overprotective big-brother Nick discovers Jared is dating Allison, their friendship and business partnership sour. Allison, consumed by guilt, must make a choice: stay with Jared, even though that means ruining his friendship with Nick and possibly his career, or leave the one man who sets her on fire.

My Opinion

Okay, I thought these characters sounded familiar. It wasn't until I logged in here that my memory was jogged into remembering I'd read book 2 last year. Had I known that I probably would have skipped requesting this book since book 2 fell flat for me. However, I'm kind of glad I didn't make the connection until it was too late.

I requested A Friendly Flirtation because, first of all I liked the cover. Secondly I'm a big fan of the brother's best friend romance trope. I found this book to be a nice, gentle, easy read, and a definite improvement over book 2. Although I still feel there needs to be more character development and back story, it was a quick fluffy read that gave me a few smiles and giggles along the way. I could semi-relate to Allison's desire to fit in, which was what kept me interested.

Overall, if you're looking for an in-depth romance this series probably isn't for you. However, if you want a light, fluffy read you might enjoy it.
