My Opinion

I couldn't wait to start reading this and I think I loved it more than the first.

Hard To Break was a book that was over much too quickly. I seriously don't know where my time went reading it. One minute I was on the first page and the next I was at 60% and then nearing the end. It moved at a fast pace and I had trouble putting it down. The plot was simple, yet interesting, and I didn't want it to end.

I loved Quinn's personality. She was a fighter and her snarky comments and the way she riled Tazen made me smile on more than one occasion. I loved how they pushed each other, but also how they realised when they'd taken things too far.

I will admit that I didn't really feel any sexual tension between them at the start. I knew they were heading that way so it wasn't a surprise when things progressed with their relationship. However, I did want a little more build up that wasn't just verbal sparring. I also hated Tazen at the start, which I'm sure was the author's intention. He did win me over though.

The only slight negative is I didn't feel the ending came to a natural conclusion. I would have liked maybe one or two more chapters before the epilogue to round it off fully. That's my only criticism though. It does tie everything up, I just wasn't satisfied.

Overall, another great read. I enjoyed it even more than the first and would definitely recommend. The conversations the characters have will bring a smile to your face.
