PLEASURE HAS NEVER BEEN SO DECADENT . . .

Paige Moore has a fulfilling business designing couture corsets for her high profile clientele, but her love life is sorely lacking. Being burned in the worst way possible by Sawyer Burrows has left her guarded and wary when it comes to men and their motives. When her best friend presents her with an invitation to The Players Club, she embraces the chance to enjoy a hot night with a stranger, and finally put her past heartbreak, and Sawyer, behind her.

Sawyer knows he devastated Paige with his careless actions a year and a half ago, and he's lived every day since with those regrets. Now, seeing Paige at The Players Club, he knows this is his chance to make amends and prove that there is still something between them worth pursuing. If sensual pleasure is what Paige is looking for, then he intends to be the man to spend the night seducing every part of her.

Paige's surrender is Sawyer's ultimate goal, but once her desires are sated, will she give them the second chance they deserve?

My Opinion

Well that was hot ...

I really enjoyed book one in this series so I was excited to get book two. Sawyer and Paige's past had been touched upon briefly in book one and from then on I wanted to know what happened between them and how their relationship would play out.

Erika Wilde definitely didn't disappoint either. Sawyer and Paige's romance was hot, steamy, and filled with plenty of passion and chemistry. I liked the intensity between the couple, and of course Sawyer's dominant side was an added bonus that sent the heat level sky rocketing. His need to be in control was swoon-worthy, but the way he made Paige feel secure and sexy in her own skin gave him an admirable and loveable quality too. I believed in his emotions and desire to win her back.

Similarly, I liked how Paige grew more confident in herself, especially around Ashley. Her growth was believable and I'm glad she found that confidence.

With regards to the story, it held my attention brilliantly. Things moved at a great pace, it was intriguing, and kept me hooked. The plot was simple, and at times predictable, but it was an easy read with plenty of spark.

Overall it was a great continuation and I'm eagerly looking forward to Kendall's story in book 3.

4.5
